Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park
We are fortunate to be within walking distance of Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park, formally the home of the Earl of Mount Edgcumbe. Set in idyllic parkland the house hosts many interesting events, walks and play areas for children. It is a fabulous setting for weddings and special occasions with many photographic opportunities and breathtaking views. The Edgcumbe Arms
Again just a short distance from Mashfords is The Edgcumbe Arms. This is a lovely old country style pub with large open fire, delicious home made meals and mouth watering desserts . They have an excellent outdoor seating area were you can experience dining el fresco, enjoying fine wines or beers from their comprehensive selection. Maybe you would just like to sit, relax and savour the fabulous views of the river Tamar and transitory boats, from elegant yachts to large Naval frigates. Cremyll Ferry/Tamar Cruising
The Cremyll Ferry is a short journey across the river Tamar from Admirals Hard to Mount Edgcumbe. Running approximately every 30 minuets, this crossing is quick and scenic, an ideal uncomplicated way to arrive on the Cornish side of the peninsula. Tamar cruising also offer dockyard and warship cruises from Mayflower Steps on the Barbican, a great way to relax and enjoy the fabulous scenery this area has to offer.
